Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Shilpa Nagar (BSMSN)
Mrisarai, Sitakundu and Sonagazi are the adjoining upazilas of Chittagong and Feni. Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Shilpa Nagar are being developed on a contiguous land of 30000 acres of these three Upazila, which is located on the mouth of Feni river, covering 25 KMs of coast lines of Sandeep channel of the Bay of Bengal. The site is free from any habitant and it’s a reclaimed land to be protected by a super dyke. Chittagong is a port city which covers 95% s export and import through largest Chittagong Sea Port.
BSMSN is one of the most suitable sites of Bangladesh for setting up industrial establishments. It is along the strategic location of Dhaka-Chittagong industrial corridor. In Mirsarai, as well as in Chittagong division, business costs and cost of living are significantly lower than those of the other competing cities of the world. Chittagong, with all its potentialities, is an attractive destination for setting up huge number of industries, commercial establishments and financial institutions. With a high quality business friendly environment, it has positive impacts and contributions in shaping Chittagong into a leading regional business hub.At present, the BSMSN has been conceptualized to be built on a land of 30000 acres. BSMSN, the first planned city of the country, will pave the way for establishing a truly world-class business and industrial center. For BSMSN, BEZA would like to build strong partnership with the private sector and local entrepreneurs. BEZA is in the process of developing a comprehensive master plan for developing this self-contained Industrial City including, incorporating Sea Port, Rail Connectivity, Marine Drive, Residential Area, Tourism Park, Power Plant, Hospital, School and University etc.We are committed to assist, encourage and facilitate investment in BSMSN. -
বঙ্গবন্ধু শিল্প নগরী| প্রায় ৩৩ হাজার একর আয়তনের নগরীতে থাকবে ৩টি অর্থনৈতিক অঞ্চল 9Dec.20
একসাথে দেশ বিদেশের বড় বড় শিল্প কারখানা তাও আবার পুরোপুরি পরিবেশ বান্ধব, বলছি বঙ্গবন্ধ শিল্প নগরীর কথা। আশা করা হচ্ছে নগরীর বাস্তবায়ন হলে ১৫ লাখ মানুষের কর্মসংস্থান তৈরি হবে। প্রায় ৩৩ হাজার একর বিশাল আয়তনের এই নগরীতে থাকবে তিনটি অর্থনৈতিক অঞ্চল। শুরুতে চট্টগ্রাম বন্দরের সাথে সরাসরি যোগাযোগ ব্যবস্থা করা হলেও পরে পাশেই তৈরি হবে নিজস্ব বন্দর। সুলতান আহমেদ জানাচ্ছেন বাকিটা।
১০০টি অর্থনৈতিক অঞ্চল বাস্তবায়নের চ্যালেঞ্জ নিয়ে কাজ করছে সরকার। এর মধ্যে সবচেয়ে বড় বঙ্গবন্ধু শিল্প নগরীতে ঠাই পাচ্ছে মীরসরাই, সীতাকুন্ড ও ফেনী অর্থনৈতিক অঞ্চল। সবমিলে বিশাল কর্মযজ্ঞ এখন ৩৩ হাজার একর আয়তনের শিল্প নগরীতে।
এরই মধ্যে অঞ্চলটির আধুনিকায়নে নতুন প্রকল্পে বিশ্বব্যাংক ৪০০০ কোটি টাকা ঋণ দেয়ার অনুমোদন দিয়েছে। পাশাপাশি সরকার আরও ৩৬৭ কোটি ব্যয় করবে এই মহাকর্মযজ্ঞে। এরই মধ্যে প্রায় ১৯ বিলিয়ন ডলারের বিনিয়োগ প্রস্তাবও এসেছে প্রকল্প ঘিরে। দেশ বিদেশের বহু কোম্পানীও প্রস্তুত তাদের কারখানা চালু করতে। পবন চৌধুরী, চেয়ারম্যান, বেজা
শিল্প নগরীতে ব্যবসায়ীদের সব ধরনের সুবিধা দিতে চায় সরকার। থাকবে শ্রমিকদের জন্যও বিশেষ সুযোগ -সুবিধা।
বিশেষজ্ঞরা বলছেন, বিনিয়োগকারিরা যাতে দ্রুত উৎপাদন শুরু করতে পারে সেই ব্যবস্থা করতে হবে।
তবে সেবা পেতে কেউ যাতে হয়রানির শিকার না হন সে দিকে বিশেষ গুরুত্ব দেয়ার কথা বলছেন বিশেষজ্ঞরা।

করোনা মহামারীর মধ্যে প্রায় ১৭শ' কোটি টাকার বিনিয়োগ পেলো বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিব শিল্পনগর। বাংলাদেশ অর্থনৈতিক অঞ্চল কর্তৃপক্ষ-বেজা জানিয়েছে, ৬০ একর জমিতে কেমিক্যাল ইন্ডাস্ট্রি, ভোগ্যপণ্য ও ফুড প্রসেসিং প্ল্যান্ট নির্মাণ করবে সামুদা ফুড প্রোডাক্টস লিমিটেড। এছাড়াও, দেশের সবচেয়ে বড় জুতার কারখানা স্থাপনে জমি চেয়েছে মাফ সুজ লিমিটেড নামের একটি প্রতিষ্ঠান।
Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Industrial City received an investment of around Tk 1700 crore in the Corona epidemic. According to the Bangladesh Economic Zone Authority-Beja, Samuda Food Products Limited will build a chemical industry, consumer goods and food processing plant on 60 acres of land. Also, an organization called Maf Shoes Limited has asked for land to set up the country's largest shoe factory.
